Which materials does Oil seal commonly use ?

Oil seal commonly used materials are: nitrile rubber, fluorine rubber, silicone rubber, acrylic rubber, polyurethane, PTFE and so on. When selecting the material of the oil seal, the compatibility of the material with respect to the working medium, the adaptability to the operating temperature range and the ability of the lip to follow the high-speed rotation of the rotating shaft must be taken into account. General oil seal work when the temperature of its lip is higher than the working medium temperature of 20 ~ 50 ℃, in the choice of oil seal material should be noted. For details, please refer to: rubber types and characteristics. The operating range of the oil seal is related to the material used for the oil seal: -40 to 120 ° C for nitrile rubber (NBR), 30 to 180 ° C for ACM, and 25 to 300 ° C for fluororubber (FPM).
